I’m learning a lot about the powerful alchemy of self-love in healing ourselves and soon I’ll share the fruits of what I’m learning on the website or in a later issue of this ezine.

Manifesting Abundance –
Your Words Are Your Command

A few months ago I did an experiment with manifesting abundance and have been getting some remarkable results ever since. I want to share with you what I learned, as it might be helpful to you too.

First, however, I want to describe how I’m using the word “abundance” in this article, so we have the same reference point.

What Is Abundance, Really?

To me, abundance isn’t just about money, though it certainly includes money. I think of abundance as an open, unobstructed flow of energy or Spirit from our inner Source. We receive this flow of energy on all levels of our being – spiritual, mental, emotional, and on the physical plane as well.

The manifestations of abundance and prosperity include love, joy, gratitude, vitality, creativity, inspiration, fulfillment, clarity, and wisdom as well as money and the things that money can buy on this physical plane. The free-flowing manifestation of all positive things, both physical and non-physical, is evidence of your connection with Source or Life Force.

Basically money is solidified energy, or Spirit. Because it’s on the physical plane it is a coarse vibration of Spirit to be sure, but nonetheless, it is physically manifested Spirit, as all things and beings are on this plane.

Back to my story about manifesting abundance …

Doors To Wellbeing And Abundance

A few months ago I had been asking my inner guidance for clarity about the best way to let go of the fear and struggle about money. One day, during meditation, this is what I saw:

There was a vast Ocean of Wellbeing, love, light, joy, and abundance, pregnant with itself, readily available to all of us. Looking out from the perspective of this Ocean, I witnessed that it never holds itself back from any of us, ever, for any reason. From the perspective of Abundance itself, its availability to all of us is truly infinite and unconditional.

Seeing this, the obvious question arose: “With this vast, unlimited Ocean of Abundance here for all of us, why isn’t everyone receiving and enjoying it all the time?”

Then I saw countless numbers of beings swimming and living within this Ocean of Abundance. Each being had many openings or doorways into their energy field that allowed them their connection and access to the Ocean. As I looked closer I saw that each opening had a door, which when opened allowed Abundance to flow freely into the individual, through that particular doorway.

“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” Albert Einstein

The openness of the doors varied with each individual, from all the way open to barely open at all. I saw one being whose inner doors were mostly all closed. This person struggled just to keep swimming. Only a trickle of Life Force could flow into his being. He only had enough energy to take care of the most basic survival requirements.

I also saw a being whose doors were all wide open. It was hard to distinguish between him and the Ocean of Abundance itself. His being was filled entirely with the light, love, joy and abundance of the Ocean.

Then I saw a close-up of how a door worked and I was shown that each door opened only from the INSIDE. Each being has control over how wide their doors to wellbeing are open. All that is needed is for each person to consciously choose to open them. As soon as anyone makes that deliberate choice, the doors swing open, allowing unlimited love, life and joy to stream in!

What Closes The Doors?

Then I looked at my own doors to wellbeing. I saw that the state of my inner doors being either open or closed was directly related to what I believed about my relationship with abundance, what I believed was necessary to receive it, what I was accustomed to receiving, and what I believed about my own self worth and what I deserved.

I looked closer at one of my doors that was only open a tiny bit. It represented what I had believed to be true about my cleaning contracting business: that I needed a specific number of clients and a specific number of contractors in order to be successful. Each belief limited the width of the channel that wellbeing could pass through, crippling the potential for manifesting abundance.

I looked at another wellbeing door and saw that what was keeping it only semi-open was a belief and acceptance about HOW I would/could receive money in my life. In my mind I had designated where my abundance would come from and it was mostly from two specific channels – two businesses I’m involved in. Holding that belief limited me from receiving from other sources besides just these two sources that I was aware of and believed I had control of.

My beliefs/expectations didn’t include abundance flowing from other unknown, uncontrollable sources!

Sheesh! No wonder I was struggling. My beliefs had narrowed down the avenues that Spirit could flow through. The ONLY thing that was keeping abundance at bay was the fact that I had closed some inner doors to it.

Excitement flooded through me. I began saying “I open to ALL avenues of abundance.”

Before I continue my story and tell you what happened, I want to say a few things about …

Your Word Is Your Command

Everything is energy, including us. As energy, every living thing is always vibrating something. We change our energy – how we vibrate – by what we put and keep attention on. Then, whatever we keep our attention on strengthens and increases that vibration within us. This causes us to attract to ourselves other things, people, thoughts, feelings and experiences that are of the same vibration that we ourselves are emitting.

A POWERFUL way to quickly change the way you are vibrating is with your words. To check this out for your self try this quick experiment:

Sit quietly for a few minutes with your eyes closed. Focus your attention inside, and just quietly watch your breath for a few minutes. Then say these words to yourself:

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.” William Arthur Ward

“I won’t be able to pay the bills this month.” Notice how you feel. Can you feel yourself pulling in – contracting like a fist? Can you feel how this closes you off from positive feelings?

Now let that go. Watch your breathing for a few minutes.

Now say to yourself “I open to all avenues of abundance.” Can you feel the relief, the openness and expansion?

Because most of us use words all day every day, both in communicating with each other and our inner talk with ourselves, we can lose touch with just how powerful our words are.

This physical plane is materialized spirit or energy. Your words focus and mobilize this energy into specific vibrations. To find out what the energy vibration is that you are engaging, all you need to do is say words aloud or silently to yourself and watch how you feel – contracted or expanded?

Unconditional Self-Command

I’ve used positive statements many times in the past for manifesting abundance as well as other things, but stating the words in this way (“I open to all avenues of abundance.”) feels much different. These words are actually in the form of a self-command, which I find is much more powerful. It directs the energy immediately. It’s YOUR energy and therefore you are in intimate communication with it. Initiating the command to open to all avenues of abundance IMMEDIATELY puts that command into action.

This is a much different kind of affirmation than saying, “I’m creating a million dollars,” though there is nothing wrong with that affirmation. Try saying those words and notice what energy is evoked. To me, it feels vague and unwieldy.

Then try saying “I open to all avenues of abundance.” In this case there are absolutely no restrictions on what abundance needs to look like or when it should come. It is like deciding to walk across the room and turn the water faucet from the off position to the on position. It is simple and immediate. Those words literally command your being to open up closed doors.

So, back to my story.

Opening The Doors

I began slowly repeating “I open to ALL avenues of abundance.” As I said it I felt relief and expansion. I could feel the opening of avenues within that had been closed for this whole lifetime. It was exhilarating! I kept slowly repeating the words, luxuriating in the expansion and light.

That was on a Saturday. The excitement of what I was discovering stayed with me all weekend. As I went about my day, whenever I thought about it I repeated, “I open to all avenues of abundance.”

Immediate Confirmation

By Monday noon I had three new clients. By Tuesday afternoon I had two additional new clients, and one of them was a large contract. All that was wonderful to be sure. But the best part by far was how I felt! I could feel the rush of energy that had been freed up within me.

As the week continued I got several more new clients.

It’s Not Abundance If Your Heart Isn’t Happy

While I was attracting a lot more business as a cleaning contractor, I noticed that I was also accepting jobs that my heart just wasn’t “on board” with for whatever reason.

I continued to affirm to myself “I open all channels to abundance” and realized there had been a “stuck” door that said you can only earn money if you work really hard and it didn’t matter if you enjoyed what you were doing or not. That idea brought on such a contraction I knew it simply wasn’t true for me. With that realization that door to Life Force opened.

It isn’t abundance if my heart isn’t open while I’m engaged in the process. Opening all the doors to abundance doesn’t mean that you have to say yes to every opportunity. In fact, I discovered that by being honest and only taking on cleaning clients I really wanted to work with, I got larger and more frequent jobs!

You Still Get To Choose

I realized my main “job” was to just keep opening the abundance doors on my end and saying “yes” to the ones that manifested that brought me joy. I declined to work with a few clients where my heart just wasn’t saying “yes.” I also focused more attention on working on this site and other things that I love to do.

As I kept that up, after a few days, another income avenue opened up for me that is in the field of wellbeing and makes my heart soar – I’ll be sharing the details of this with you on the site when the time is right. :-). About the same time, I got an idea about the cleaning contractor business that increased my cash flow, made my job easier and more in sync with my heart. Also, all my clients began paying on time!

As I write this, my contracting business is running much more smoothly, my cash flow has improved tremendously, and I’ve been getting three or more new clients every week (compared to one every few weeks or so). Besides that, other income opportunities and ideas are popping up within the realm of wellbeing, which is nearest and dearest to my heart!

Just The Beginning

As I continued with “I open all doors to abundance,” naturally the idea came to try this with other words and energies. I’m discovering just how powerful this process is. Whatever words you choose IMMEDIATELY begin building the energy. Quite literally, your words are your command.

A key point I’ve discovered is to keep the self-command as short and simple as possible. If you make it complicated, it complicates and dilutes the energy.

Here are some I’m working with. “I open to all avenues of …”

• love
• creativity
• cooperation
• evolution
• forgiveness
• clarity
• true self-empowerment

Try these for yourself!

Expansion Stimulates Growth

To be fair to you, I have to share something else about this experience I just described. As I open all these inner doors, I also open to the growth that comes along with doing that. When we choose to open to a bigger step in our evolution we have to be willing to let go of the stuff that kept the “door” shut in the first place.

So for me it isn’t that I opened up all the doors and only sunshine, love, roses and abundance came through. Yes, lots of wonderful energy IS flowing in and there is a definite increase in manifesting abundance on many levels.

AND, at the same time, I’m needing to look at and release some things about myself that are quite uncomfortable. As you command yourself to open your “doors” to abundance and Spirit, it quite willingly flows through. As you do that, you begin vibrating at a higher vibration. That vibration will literally vibrate off what doesn’t resonate with this new place you’re now in. In other words you will shed the old funky stuff you don’t really need that only got in the way of love and everything you’ve ever truly wanted!

On With Your Evolution

I get the feeling that wherever we are in our evolution, we repeat this process of reaching for the next step, opening to it, and casting off the old idea of who we thought we were and what we thought our life and the world was.

Yes, it is uncomfortable at the point in the cycle where we are dismantling the old limits and beliefs, but it is so worth the evolution and all that comes with it. Whether you are looking for ways to create wealth, reaching for manifesting abundance, healing, or the experience of more love in your life, all of it is Soul’s way of stretching past its belief in limits. It is your inner being guiding you to the next step in your spiritual evolution!
